It occurred on Sitkalidak Island, near and across Old Harbor on Refuge Rock (Awa'uq in Alutiiq language), in Kodiak, Alaska. The Russian promyshlennikis slaughtered 500 men, women and children on Refuge Rock, though some sources state the number was 2000, or between 2,500–3,000. Zechariah 13:6 declares they will note the wounds on His breast and in His hands. He will answer that He received the wounding’s in the house of His friends. Not only are we beginning the Holy Week of the Passion, but also the Feast of Passover today. Hebrews 6:17-19a declares “to those who were to receive what He promised, God wanted to make it very clear that He would never change His purpose; so He added His Vow to His Promise. There are these two things, then, that cannot change and about which God cannot lie. So we who have found safety with Him are greatly encouraged to hold firmly to the hope placed before us.” And the Apostle Paul warned the church of being self-opinionated in that they have had faith to receive the blood sacrifice of the Lord. “I do not want you to miss this hidden truth and mystery, brethren: a hardening has befallen a part of Israel until the full number of the ingathering of the Gentiles has come in. And so all Israel will be saved. As it is written, The Deliverer will come from Zion. He will banish ungodliness from Jacob. And this will be My covenant – My Agreement – with them when I shall take away their sins.” Romans 11:25-27
